A loan against securities at Zerodha Capital is available only to resident Indian individuals who hold the securities in their own name.
Who is not eligible
- NRIs. LAS is available only to resident Indian individual account holders.
- HUFs and private companies. LAS is currently not available for non-individual accounts.
- Joint account holders. LAS is currently not available on jointly held accounts.
Bank accounts
Only bank accounts held in your own name can be linked to your Zerodha Capital profile. Third-party bank accounts cannot be added, and repayments from accounts that do not belong to you are not accepted.
If you do not have a Zerodha demat account
You can still avail a loan against securities held with another broker, but the process is offline and requires a visit to the Zerodha Capital office in Bengaluru. See the article on availing a loan without a Zerodha demat account.
